AIVI has three point systems with different purposes: time points for the child (redeemable for usage time), learning points recording quiz output, and traffic points for parents (cloud data for remote care). “Reward 30 points” in everyday use always means time points.
| Aspect | Time points | Learning points | Traffic points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Redeem usage time (1 point ≈ 1 minute); manual reward/deduction by parents | Records quiz output in Points & Quiz slots | Consumed by cloud services such as live screen |
| How to earn | Earned automatically from study apps by multiplier, or rewarded manually | Earned by answering questions in the quiz window | Purchased (prices and specs as shown on the official pricing page) |
| Where to check | Client home footer, lock screen, Settings → Points | Records and daily caps live in Settings → Question bank | Client home footer, web console |
How do I let my child earn game time by studying?
Two paths: ① set a points multiplier on the study group so every study minute earns N time points; ② tick Points & Quiz on the entertainment slot so the child answers questions before redeeming time. Parents can also reward or deduct manually at any time — steps below.
Manually reward or deduct
- 01
Open Points
Settings → Points; in the web console Dashboard → Settings → Points.
- 02
Enter the amount and reason
Enter a positive number in Time points, pick a reason (chores / study progress / other / custom), then click Reward or Deduct.
- 03
Review the ledger
Click View time points records to review the rolling ledger with your child; traffic points have their own separate records.
How children redeem time
- On the lock screen, tap Redeem time points to start (the button is hidden when the lock reason is “time limit reached” — redeeming after the limit is ineffective, so it is hidden to avoid wasting points).
- After redeeming, points are deducted per second at 1 point = 60 seconds and the PC locks again when points run out; the footer balance is marked “in use”.
- Either of you can click Stop using time points on the home screen to end early and keep the remaining points.
- Restarting the client clears the redemption flag, preventing repeated redemption via reboots.
Can my child keep playing after the points run out?
When points run out the PC locks again — wait for the next allowed slot, or reward points manually and let the child earn more by studying or answering questions. Below are tips to make the incentive work better.
A recommended incentive design
- Tick Points & Quiz on entertainment slots (optionally plus limited minutes) so game time is fully paid for by studying.
- Start with a 1× multiplier (1 study minute = 1 point) and tune from there.
- Use reasons as positive records: chores, study progress, etc. — more educational than simply extending time.
- Pair it with the daily points cap (default 120) to avoid grinding points in a short burst.
